Yoga for the Energy Body
This workshop will provide a clear understanding of the "vayus" which are the five primary aspects of the life force/prana. These five movements of prana have very subtle yet distinct energetic qualities. They govern physical, mental and emotional processes and can become weak or exacerbated.
Imbalances in these primary vayus create physical and psychological disease and suffering. When we understand these five vayus better, we can better influence the subtle energies that underlie yoga practice and correct the energetic imbalances we may observe in ourselves.
This is done through chosen physical postures (asanas), breathwork (pranayama), mudras (gestures), mantra chanting and mindful habits to consciously shift our state, relieve stress, enhance focus, be more humble, and be a little freer from the shackles of our birth constitution.
Tuition for this workshop is $60
Mantra Yoga Workshop: Exploring the Gayatri Mantra
In this workshop, Martine will present the methodology of Mantra Yoga. To make it more concrete, we will work with a specific Vedic mantra many people have heard of as it is one of the most famous mantras, called the Gayatri mantra. We will learn to chant the Gayatri Mantra exactly the way it was heard by ancient seers. Absolutely no voice or music experience is needed. All teaching will be done in progressive steps so everyone feels comfortable. And if someone is not comfortable chanting, the mantra can be whispered or chanted internally. This is never about how well we chant. For more information about this workshop, you can write to Martine at info@upsatateyogainstitute and Martine will be happy to try and answer any questions or concerns you may have.
The tuition for the workshop is $50.
